Helping Women See Workplace Challenges Differently

Why I Created Savvy At Work

After years of working with clients, I noticed something.

Many clients don't need another lengthy counselling process.

They need timely, practical guidance when workplace situations arise.

Savvy At Work was created to provide personalized workplace support that is flexible and practical.

I offer private workplace guidance for women who want to handle difficult situations at work more thoughtfully - whether they are facing a challenging conversation, a complex decision, or ongoing pressure in their professional life.

My Approach

Work can be deeply meaningful - but it can also be complicated, political, draining, and hard to navigate alone.

Many women are doing well on the surface while quietly carrying uncertainty underneath: a difficult manager, unclear expectations, a conversation they are avoiding, a decision they keep second-guessing, or a pattern at work they can feel but cannot quite name.

Most workplace challenges don't have one obvious solution.

The best approach depends on your goals, your workplace environment, the people involved, and the timing.

That is where my work begins.

I help women step back, understand what is really happening, and decide how to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

What I bring to this work

I bring more than 25 years of experience in career development and human resources to my work today.

After earning my bachelor's degree in career development, I spent years in Human Resources, helping organizations hire, develop and support employees. This gave me firsthand insight into how workplaces function, how decisions are made, and why people are sometimes recognized, promoted, or overlooked.

Over time, I realized I wanted to help clients differently so I completed my master's degree while working and built a practice focused on helping people navigate their working lives with greater clarity and confidence.

Why women come to me

Women often come to me when they need help navigating:

  • difficult conversations or workplace relationships
  • setting boundaries or saying no
  • situations that are affecting their confidence
  • decisions about whether to stay, leave, speak up, or wait
  • workplace situations where they know something isn't working but aren't sure what to do next

They are not looking for generic advice.

They want perspective, practical guidance and a strategy they can actually use.

I believe workplace advice should be:

  • Practical.
  • Personalized.
  • Thoughtful.
  • Action-oriented.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all answers, I help people understand their situation, consider different perspectives, and develop strategies that fit their unique workplace reality.

Workplace situations aren't always within our control. Managers don't always change. Organizations don't always change. Coworkers don't always change. But our perspective can change — and when it does, everything downstream of it changes too.

The Savvy At Work Method

EVERY SITUATION IS VIEWED THROUGH FIVE STEPS

Why This Way of Working

No appointments. No waiting weeks for an opening. Guidance when you actually need it — delivered thoughtfully, so you get a considered response rather than a rushed one.

The goal is never just to solve a single problem. It's to help you gain clarity, see your situation differently, build a practical strategy, and move forward with confidence — again and again, throughout your career.
